Dr Bernard Rimland - a tribute

This is the tribute to Dr Bernard Rimland, a pioneer in autism treatment, who passed away on 21 November 2006 at age 78.

Rimland was a founder of the American Autism Society, Autism Research Institute and the Defeat Autism Now! DAN! project. He pioneered the biomedical approach to autism which treats autism as a biological problem rather than a psychological problem due to "refrigerator mothers” who were cold and uncaring.
